nikon d400 rumors

I am obtaining some info from our readers a few potential Nikon D400 announcement this fall (during Photokina in Sep, shipping in October). i used to be not getting to post something after I initial got some speculative info regarding the D400, however once a similar person who sent Maine some details earlier this year on the D800 (which clothed  to be 100% true) confirmed the D400 specs, i made a decision to post what I actually have concerning the future DSLR. i\'m still slightly skeptical regarding a number of this, since it might contradict the potential announcement of the Nikon D600 that I wrote a few} couple of weeks past. If Nikon will so unharness the D600 at a ~$1,500 value purpose, it\'d got to severely handicap several of its options, if the below specifications end up to be true. Otherwise, Nikon can have a tough time marketing the D400 in my opinion. Nikon is outwardly already functioning on D400 production in its Sendai plant in Japan.

Here could be a outline of the Nikon D400 specifications that I even have received from multiple sources:

Clearly, the Nikon D400 would be targeted at budget sports and life shooters with its 8+ Federal Protective Service shooting speeds and also the DX version of the new Advanced Multi-CAM 3500 system. Those 2 options will surely sound enticing to several photographers that desire a high speed camera and don\'t want obtaining the D800 (for its slow speed) or the D4 (for its high price). whereas it would sound strange that Nikon would use a similar twenty four.2 MP on the entry-level D3200, it really is sensible, as a result of this Sony-made detector is really excellent. As DxOMark has recently according, it\'s the contender detector on the market nowadays (after the Pentax K-5 sensor) with spectacular colours, dynamic vary and determination. several different options on the D400 area unit terribly such as the Nikon D800 (video, build, shutter sturdiness, LCD screen, battery, card slots, etc), that conjointly is sensible. the sole puzzling piece on behalf of me is that the worth – at $1,799 MSRP, it may doubtless be priced near or more than the reported D600. or even the D600 rumor is simply a myth…
What does one think? can we tend to see the D400, the D600, or maybe even both?

  1. Unfortunately for Nikon, a large number of potential D400 buyers will have given up and purchase the D7100. They won't be back in the market for awhile.

I, for one, can't wait until the fall to find out if they are even going to replace the D300s. Once I move to the D7100, I'm done for a few years at least.
